Our vision: Safe place to help your cat thrive
The Cat Store started with a simple idea: helping cat parents make thoughtful, more informed choices about the products they bring into their cats’ lives.
We wanted to create a place for products we genuinely believe are good for cats. This same approach shapes our handmade toy range, inspired by what we felt was missing from the market, and by our own take on how existing designs could be improved.
There’s so much choice out there, and it’s not always easy to know what’s worth buying. That’s why every product in our range is carefully selected and approved by a cat behaviourist, with practical tips to help you better understand your cat and their needs.

Do you offer international delivery?
We currently deliver across the UK (with free delivery on orders over £50). We also ship to Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
If you live elsewhere in the world and don’t mind paying a little extra for international shipping and any applicable customs charges, feel free to get in touch with us – we’ll be happy to look into the options and see what we can arrange for you!
How long does the delivery take?
We aim to dispatch orders the same day or the next working day. Once dispatched, delivery usually takes 2–5 working days, depending on your location – and you will receive an email with tracking details so you can follow your parcel’s journey.
If you have any specific delivery preferences, such as a delayed dispatch, just let us know when placing your order and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
What delivery service do you use?
For most UK orders, we use InPost Courier, while deliveries to other destinations are usually sent via Royal Mail.
If you have a preferred delivery service that differs from our usual options, just leave a note with your order – we’re flexible and will do our best to accommodate your preference.
Can I collect my order or arrange local delivery?
Yes! We offer both collection and local delivery in the Edinburgh/Midlothian area.
To collect your order, simply select “Collection” at checkout. We’ll then get in touch to arrange a convenient collection time and share the details.
If you live locally, we can also deliver your order personally, usually the same day or the next day. Simply select standard delivery at checkout and leave a note letting us know you’re local. If we spot your address, we may also get in touch to offer this option 🙂
Can I see your products in person if I live locally?
Absolutely! If you live locally, we’re happy to show you our products in person before you decide what to buy.
You can place an order in advance or simply get in touch to arrange a visit and browse our products before making a purchase. If you’ve already placed an order, we can also make any adjustments during collection or local delivery where possible.
What is your approach to sustainability?
We’re always looking for ways to make more sustainable choices, from the products we offer and the packaging we use, to how we prepare and send your orders.
We use paper-based packaging wherever possible, including cardboard boxes, paper tape and paper fillers. We also reuse packaging materials whenever we can, such as boxes and bubble wrap when extra protection is needed.
The one exception is the resealable plastic bags used for our cat toys with herbs. These are intended for repeated use as we recommend storing the toys in their bags between play sessions to help preserve the freshness of the herbs.
Do you accept returns?
Most items can be returned as long as they meet our return conditions. Unfortunately, we don’t accept change-of-mind returns for custom or handmade items unless they arrive faulty or damaged.

Meet our team
Behind The Cat Store is a team of humans and cats! And our cats are a big part of what we do.
They both have their own little quirks, big personalities, and preferences – and we take them very seriously! Combined with cat behaviourist’s knowledge, they help us keep cats’ needs at the centre of what we do.
We know every cat has their own preferences and needs, which is why we also have plenty of other cats behind the scenes, helping us test products, check their quality, safety, and performance.
