Our Pierogi are handmade and filled with natural dried herbs – catnip, silvervine, or valerian to choose from – encouraging cats to stay active and engaged.
Perfect for solo play, and loved by cats who enjoy fetching!
Herb fillings
Our herb-filled balls are packed with catnip, silvervine, or valerian – the natural herbs stimulate playful behaviour, while the ball’s design encourages chasing and interactive play.
Catnip is a natural herb from the mint family and is the most widely known feline stimulant. It stimulates playfulness and excitement in many cats and can encourage rolling, rubbing, zoomies, and active play.
Silvervine is a natural plant native to Asia and is considered one of the most potent feline stimulants. It can encourage intense play, rolling, rubbing, and excitement.
Valerian is a natural root with a strong scent that many cats are drawn to. It often triggers playful behaviour at first, followed by a calm and relaxed state once the excitement settles.
What’s the difference?
-
Catnip – classic and widely loved – playful and energetic response
-
Silvervine – often the strongest and most effective – works for many cats who ignore catnip/valerian
-
Valerian – strong scent – playful/relaxed behaviour depending on the cat
All three herbs are safe and non-toxic for cats. The effects of each herb typically last between 5 and 15 minutes. Individual responses may vary.
Alongside our herb-filled balls, we also offer crochet Balls in three different herb varieties.
Product description
- 1x Crochet Pierogi toy, measuring approximately 5×10 cm – individual dimensions may vary slightly
- Filled with polyester fibre filling and natural dried catnip/silvervine/valerian
- Made with a soft, fluffy yarn
- Made with “safety eyes”, like those used in children’s toys. They are attached securely and should not come off, but if the yarn is chewed through, there is a small risk that the cat could swallow them. For this reason, it’s safest to give the toy to your cat only under supervision.
- Handmade in Poland by @customisie
